Yes. A trace would be requested in circumstances where the Beneficiary claims non-receipt of funds. A cancellation would be requested in circumstances where you want the payment to be returned by the overseas party. In these cases, the Bank will endeavour to have the payment returned. Only on receipt of the funds from the overseas bank will the funds be credited to your account.
When we are successful in having funds returned and the original transaction is in foreign currency, these funds will be converted at the Bank's buying rate of exchange and credited to your account. Overseas bank charges are likely to apply, and will also be deducted from the proceeds.
